Position Title : Safety Professional
Pay Rate Range : $32 / hr to $42 / hr
Start Date : January 2025, can bring them on prior
Interview Process : One round, virtual interview with 2-3 members of the team
Job Duration : 12 month contract
Location Info : Local to Charlotte
Reason for need :
To ensure that the company's workplace environments, programs, equipment, and practices follow government safety regulations.
Project Details :
This person will be responsible for evaluating workplace environments, programs, equipment and practices at one of the nuclear facilities to ensure that government and company safety regulations are being followed.
Must Have Skills :
- 2-5 years of experience as a Safety professional / coordinator / engineer
- Ability to conduct monthly safety presentations
- Ability to monitor safety procedures and coach
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, specifically powerpoint
- Strong technical writing skills
- Excellent communication skills (will be working with a lot with maintenance and operations) Nice to Have Skills :
Degree in industrial safety

Big piece : Monthly presentations on safety (just finished one, 22 slides)fleet standard, all work groups that have craft laborers, have to do this once a month 30min-1 hour and be apart of these safety presentations fleet sends them something that is trending in the industry and basically this person will need to take that information and develop a presentation on how to make sure they being safe, what the safety protocols are coming up with new ideas as well on safety protocols as well
Day to day responsibilities :
This person will need to be able to dig into health and safety administrative procedures and conduct monthly safety presentations. They will need to put together a PowerPoint with operation excellence. They will also need to include ideas and solutions to improve and enforce any safety protocols currently in place. This person will not be responsible for working hands in the field, they will just be observing and reporting out. This person needs to understand this companies processes and safety standards to then be able to help them validate that everyone is being safe.
