This includes working closely with the marketing and product teams to expand the company's reach, increase revenue, and strengthen market presence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Organize, lead, and manage sales initiatives to maximize long-term business for The Shaw Group. Provide guidance on Sales and Marketing Plan implementation, commercial policies, account and selling strategies, and localization support.
- Sales Performance: Ensure that obtained projects meet The Shaw Group's guidelines by providing judgment and guidance in opportunity screening, contract negotiation, risk management, profit analysis, and communication of key customer values, needs, and expectations.
- Liaison with Other Departments: Foster collaboration with other departments as necessary, addressing legal, financing, tax, or other issues.
- Customer Relations: Develop and maintain positive customer relationships, resulting in increased business. Listen to customer needs and assist in project solution development that meets those requirements and provides opportunities for The Shaw Group.
- Cost Control: Manage administrative costs and pre-contract expenses within established budgets. Prepare regional business plans and Account Execution Plans outlining sales goals for the Arkansas/North Louisiana/East Texas area, consistently meeting or exceeding projected revenue streams.
- Supporting the Corporate Sales and Marketing Plan: Assist in developing and executing the local plan, focusing on sales goals and customer relationship development.
- Identifying New Opportunities: Actively seek to increase the number and quality of contacts among customers and market influencers, identify new products and market opportunities, and drive sales, pre-positioning, and relationship-building activities.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with commercial terms and conditions, contract structure, pricing, and interfacing with the Legal and Finance Departments as needed.
- Partnership Development: Identify partnering opportunities and apply win-win concepts to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Territory and Account Management: Focus on positioning The Shaw Group favorably for the best opportunities through effective territory and account management.
- Administrative Tasks: Ensure all sales administrative work is up-to-date and complete, including CRM software maintenance.
- Profit Enhancement: Actively work to enhance profit and cash flow at every opportunity.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in construction, fabrication, and/or industrial sales.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to reach, stand, walk, use fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions.
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
