- Report to senior management on trends, executive-level project summaries, project controls KPIs, and risks/opportunities monthly.
- Foster internal relationships and provide strategic guidance on project management process initiatives
- Leads the Project Planning and Control team in delivering exceptional value to our customers and organization. Drive project and portfolio management excellence in support of the Project Management Organization’s goals. Ensure cross-functional alignment through clear and documented processes and procedures.
- Supports Shaw Projects and Modules business and program management leaders to ensure data integrity by enforcing compliance with management operating system and processes.
- Leads Program Planning and Control initiatives, deployment, and implementation consistent with the strategic business priorities and Shaw Projects and Modules core values.
- Driving continuous improvement in project controls methodologies, tools, and reporting with a foundation in AACEI and CII best practices.
- Is responsible for ensuring continuous improvement via periodic maintenance and updating procedures, standards and document control databases.
- Coaches and develops employees with a constant emphasis on succession planning, talent roadmaps, and personal/professional goal setting and development plans.

- Develop and implement project controls strategies, processes, and systems and enforce governance and compliance across all projects.
- Ensure alignment of project controls with financial, operational, and strategic company objectives, ensuring data-driven execution.
- Drive a high-performance culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making, proactive risk management, optimizing project execution for profitability and predictability with measurable outputs assessing effectiveness.
- Drive integration between project execution, forecasting and corporate financials, ensuring that cost tracking and forecasting and WIP reporting align with GAAP and corporate financial objectives.
- Align with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate project cost forecasting, cash flow tracking, and risk-adjusted financial outlooks.
- Optimize scheduling methodologies to increase efficiency, improve resource allocation and standardization across projects.
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive risk management framework, proactively identifying and mitigating potential project risks.
- Ensure early warning systems are in place to detect deviations from plan and implement real-time corrective actions.
- Develop data-driven dashboards with real-time schedule adherence, productivity trends, and financial performance metrics.
- Manages a team of Scheduling/Planning and Cost Controls managers and specialists responsible for effective Project Controls to achieve business results across multiple locations (Tyler, Houston, and Lake Charles). The Project Controls Director may be required to travel to these locations from time to time for effective communication and management of these personnel.

- Preferred bachelor’s degree in construction management (bachelor’s degree), Engineering (bachelor's degree), or any Quantitative-focused field
