What are the responsibilities and job description for the River Trips Supervisor position at The Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort?
We are currently accepting applications for River Trip Supervisor. We are seeking energetic team players who pride themselves in “providing exceptional service to every guest at every opportunity."
- Possess a valid PA Drivers License (CDL preferred)
- Ability to lift 100lbs over head
- Proficient reading, writing and grammar skills
- Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing Vehicles, boats, and the river
- Ability to make decisions regarding guest satisfaction and outlet profitability
- Ability to facilitate a productive and efficient work environment.
Essential Functions:
- Scheduling and training of staff
- Overseeing the daily operations
- Adhering to all guidelines set forth in the employee hand book
- Ensuring all staff is in proper uniform
- Ensuring all equipment is in safe, legal, clean, and in working order
- Ensuring the safety and enjoyment of the river through clean and concise orientations before the trip
- Ensuring all paperwork is correct and forwarded to accounting at the end of each business day
- Making sure all guests are informed as to the safety policies as required by the National Park Service
- Monitoring guest satisfaction and improvement suggestions through one on one verbal interaction
- Routinely accompanying drivers to drop off, pick up points to monitor driving habits, especially speed through the resort
- Routinely monitoring cashiers as to accuracy of contract completion and POS procedures
- Monitor and control radio communication amongst staff
- Imparting the information of new trips and specials to all staff.
- Holding regular (weekly) staff meetings in order to be proactive in problem solving
- Deal with and rectify any guests dissatisfactions in a timely manor
- Complete a regular inventory of all equipment and retail items
- Make sure daily maintenance checklists are completed on all vehicles
- Collect and review daily checklists from drivers and cashiers
- Police the beach, and area of operations report any obstructions to Recreation Director
- Communicate with your supervisor daily
- Make sure all equipment is secure at the end of each business day
