Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers, providing friendly service while taking drink orders and answering questions about the menu.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through the Aloha POS system.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, beer, wine, and supplies; assist with ordering when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and alcohol service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.
- Participate in promotional events or special activities to enhance customer engagement.
Skills
- Proven experience in bartending or a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, for efficient order processing.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in financial transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a positive dining experience for guests.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and various beverage options is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
