Bartender

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join The Shelter Kitchen and Bar team. We are the place on Shem Creek where the locals go to grab a cold drink and exceptional hot food. We are looking for an experienced bartender who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while also providing excellent customer service. As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our guests all within a fun and casual atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Operate our Toast POS system efficiently to process orders and payments.
• Uphold all health and safety regulations while serving drinks.

Requirements

• 2 years bartending experience minimum.
• Proven experience as a Bartender in fast pace environments.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
• Familiarity with POS systems for order processing.
• Knowledge of various drink recipes and cocktail presentation techniques.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including late nights and weekends, as required by the business needs.
• A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to help others are crucial for success in this role.

Weekly tip average: $300 - $1,500
