Key Responsibilities
- Safety Leadership: Partner with the Product Line Leader to promote and lead a safe working environment. Perform daily walk-arounds and build relationships with the production team.
- Process Monitoring: Monitor process equipment outputs daily, identifying and resolving upsets to normal conditions to ensure an in-control process.
- Quality Improvement: Collaborate with QA and R&D teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with maintenance team members to coordinate planned PMs, repairs, equipment replacement, and process modifications.
- Project Implementation: Design and execute improvement projects to ensure consistent product quality, involving key equipment variables and statistical data analysis.
- Equipment & Process Optimization: Identify equipment needs for production, regulatory compliance, and process improvement. Facilitate scale-up of new products from R&D to production.
- Waste Reduction: Identify and reduce waste within the product group, supporting Lean efforts and team 5S.
- Training & Troubleshooting: Provide training and refresher courses to team members, and troubleshoot daily work issues related to safety, quality, productivity, and change management.
Qualifications
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (preferred) or other engineering discipline.
- Minimum of two years of manufacturing experience (chemical industry preferred).
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong team player with excellent time management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis tools, Process Safety Management (PSM) protocols, and PLC platforms (Siemens/Allen-Bradley preferred).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma/DMAIC principles, and project management.
- Basics of combustion engineering.
