Job Description
The Production Operator is responsible for operating a piece of equipment or performing tasks at the direction of the Product Supervisor. The Operator also may work with a Senior Operator to carry out operations in an operating system or unit; the operator may be asked to perform as part of a team. The Operator is also responsible for performing work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Pay begins at $27/hr.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSITION, MONDAY-FRIDAY, 3:00PM-11:30PM.
Job Requirements
An operator will be required to work cooperatively with one or more operators, or senior operators in the performance of some tasks. An operator may also be required to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision. An operator must also be able to work within the framework of a group or team setting and must be able to function as a part of this entity. May have to work with others as a trainer. Must be able to work with other departments.
- Must be able to lift, bend, reach, and twist with loads for long periods of time. May be able to lift anywhere from 15-45lbs, occasionally exceeding 100lbs
- Must be able to roll drums generally weighing 100-350lbs
- Train other operators when assigned
- Complete industrial reports and batch tickets
- General math skills required
- Follow and read all required safety rules and procedures
- Must be punctual
Daily responsibilities vary with the area assigned. Specific duties are described in operating instructions for each area or piece of equipment. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Stage and weigh batches
- Operate mixers
- Operate blenders
- Operate lift trucks
- Operate 3 roll milling equipment
- Other duties as assigned
