We are seeking a motivated professional passionate about lab work, testing, and equipment to support our Quality Control team. You will perform all required testing on production batches prior to approval for shipment. Products being tested include powdered glass, mediums, intermediates, and finished glass enamels. Testing performed includes, but is not limited to, viscosity, color, gloss, optical density, acid and alkali resistance, conductivity, particle size distribution, and percent moisture. You will also be performing equipment calibration and verification, maintaining adequate records, and entering data.
Note: Assessments are required for this role, including a color identification assessment to ensure minimum performance standards are met.
Job responsibilities
- Perform housekeeping and standard laboratory upkeep procedures
- Record all data in an appropriate format and maintain appropriate records
- Perform equipment calibration and/or verification
- Stock lab with relevant supplies
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Serve on internal improvement teams
- Support project work
- Support corrective action investigations
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required with a minimum of five (5) years of general lab experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a science related field with some lab experience preferred
Required Skills
- Basic computer skills: Excel and SAP experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills - able to manage multiple projects/priorities
