The EHS Intern is "hosted" by the Environmental Health and Safety Department at one of our manufacturing / distribution facilities. This is a 12-week summer internship. Please note that we do not provide housing.
This Internship begins on May 19, 2025. Interns will report to the Wheeling, IL Plant.
Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and / or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships.
Responsibilities
The EHS Internship is designed to assist the site EHS Manager with day-to-day tasks and special projects. The intern typically does not manage his / her own projects, but rather assists other team members in achieving goals.
- Implementing safety related programs at the site
- Employee training
- Coordination of safety and occupational health projects
- Promoting safe actions throughout the organization
- Analyzing accident and incident records
- Special projects as identified by the Safety Manager
