What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tank Wagon Loader/Unloader position at The Sherwin-Williams Company?
This position will be accountable for loading and unloading bulk containers. In addition this position will be responsible for managing and delivering incoming and outgoing railcars, as well as assuring that inventory is placed in proper locations or departments. This position is also responsible for the successful utilization of computerized data entry of all receipts. This position accomplishes the organizational objectives by insuring that all railcars are managed properly to keep inventory and operation at optimal levels.

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. - Storage and movement of products and raw materials.
- Follows proper and accurate receiving procedures for various materials received at the plant.
- Operate material handling equipment which includes forklifts in a safe manner at all times.
- Ensure proper maintenance check of material handling equipment daily; notify supervisor of any discrepancies.
- Ability to perform spill cleanup and rework procedures.
- Actively participate in safety programs.
- Keep area clean and organized at all times.
- Maintain and wear safety equipment at all times.
- Participation towards completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have at least one (1) year experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility.
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience shipping and/or receiving of raw materials and/or finished goods
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacuum-hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts, etc.)
