Overview:
Resolute Home Care is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Director to lead the restructuring, rebranding, and operational development of our home care agency. This individual will be responsible for launching and growing our Concord and Charlotte offices, building a high-performing care team, securing new clients, and ensuring state compliance and operational efficiency.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with home care experience who can balance strategic growth, business development, and hands-on operational tasks in a lean startup environment. Given that the agency is in the early stages with no existing clients or staff, this role is designed to be performance-driven, with clear milestones and expectations to ensure financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership, Team Building & Caregiver Recruitment
- Develop a structured recruitment strategy to attract, interview, and hire caregivers.
- Train, mentor, and onboard new caregivers to ensure adherence to company policies and home care best practices.
- Establish caregiver retention strategies to maintain a stable workforce and minimize turnover.
Client Acquisition & Business Development
- Conduct targeted outreach to hospitals, discharge planners, senior centers, Medicaid providers, and social workers to establish referral pipelines.
- Identify and develop strategic community partnerships to position Resolute Home Care as a trusted provider.
- Handle initial client intakes, assessments, and care plan development to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients.
Operational Oversight & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with state, federal, and Medicaid regulations regarding home care operations, documentation, and reporting.
- Manage scheduling, caregiver-client matching, and daily operations to optimize efficiency.
- Track and document caregiver performance, client satisfaction, and agency compliance in accordance with state regulations.
Rebranding & Growth Strategy
- Lead the rebranding efforts to position Resolute Home Care as a recognized leader in home care services.
- Execute marketing and outreach campaigns to expand the agency’s presence in Charlotte, Salisbury, and surrounding counties.
- Work closely with the agency director and leadership team to implement new initiatives that support long-term agency growth.
Financial & Performance Accountability
- Implement performance metrics (KPIs) to measure recruitment success, client acquisition, and operational milestones.
- Ensure revenue growth aligns with agency expenses by monitoring payroll costs, client billings, and financial sustainability.
- Meet structured goals within 3-6 months to justify role expansion and salary increases.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in home care coordination, management, or operations.
- Strong understanding of home care regulations, Medicaid policies, and best practices.
Education & Licensure:
- Registered Nurse (RN) preferred but not required.
- Equivalent leadership or business development experience in home care will be considered.
Skills & Attributes:

- Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Structure:
- Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour, with potential for increases based on performance and agency growth.
- Part-time contract role: 10–20 hours per week (with potential for full-time based on agency growth).
- Mileage reimbursement for travel between Charlotte, Salisbury, and surrounding areas.
- Flexible Schedule: Monday to Friday, with some weekends as needed.
Performance Milestones & Growth Expectations:
To ensure financial sustainability, the following milestones must be met:
First 30 Days:
- Complete all licensing, compliance, and caregiver recruitment strategies.
First 90 Days:
- Secure 3-5 clients, establish 3 referral partnerships, and hire at least 5 caregivers.
6 Months:
- Expand to at least 10 active clients, generate consistent revenue, and evaluate role for full-time transition.
