Job Overview:
As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for protecting the premises, employees, and customers within the shopping mall. You will monitor activities, deter criminal behavior, ensure safety compliance, and respond to incidents as needed. The ideal candidate will be alert, observant, and able to handle various situations calmly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrolling: Regularly patrol mall premises, including common areas, entrances, and parking lots, to deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
Surveillance: Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to identify suspicious activity or safety hazards.
Incident Response: Respond to emergencies, such as accidents, medical incidents, or disturbances, and take appropriate action, including contacting emergency services if needed.
Customer Service: Provide assistance to mall customers, staff, and visitors, offering information and direction when needed.
Report Writing: Complete detailed incident reports for any unusual activities, accidents, or security breaches.
Crowd Control: Assist in managing crowds during busy shopping events, sales, or emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals.
Access Control: Monitor and control access points to ensure only authorized personnel are entering restricted areas.
Safety Enforcement: Enforce mall safety policies and procedures, including compliance with fire safety regulations and emergency evacuation protocols.
Collaboration: Work closely with mall management, local law enforcement, and emergency responders to ensure the mall’s security needs are met.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not required.
Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills with the ability to notice and respond to unusual activity or potential hazards.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with mall employees, customers, and emergency services.
Problem-Solving: Calm under pressure with the ability to make quick, effective decisions in challenging situations.
Customer-Focused: A helpful, friendly demeanor with the ability to provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
