BARTENDER

The Shore and Country Club is seeking motivated and enthusiastic bartenders.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to order, entering appropriate charges on member’s account using the POS system.
- Is responsible for maintaining the bar in a clean and orderly condition and keeping it properly stocked.
- Is responsible for maintaining storage areas in a clean and orderly condition and keeping them stocked and secured.
- Prepares drinks for the staff to serve or serve directly to the member.
- Stocks bar and portable bars for banquets and Club affairs whenever applicable.
- Washes equipment and brings glasses directly to the dishwasher.
- Waits on members and guests.
- Assists in taking beverage inventory each month.
- Assists with the development of specialty cocktails.
- Prepares garnishes for mixed drinks and prepares mixers (i.e., bloody Mary & sour mixes).
- Maintains an adequate supply of liquors, beer, wine, and soda by taking periodic inventories with the Manager.
- Follows guidelines set forth for the proper portion control of liquors.
- Follows all current Connecticut Alcoholic Beverage Control laws and regulations.
- May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as directed by their direct supervisor.
We are hiring for full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions. We are looking for candidates who are available to work 25-40 hours per week. Weekend availability is a must.

- Has a minimum of two years of experience bartending in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player who is service-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Professional, enthusiastic, and a positive attitude.
- Eager to learn and adapt to new job tasks.
- Proactive in individual and group task settings.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers, reach, climb, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
