Job Summary:
The Overnight Manager is responsible for overseeing the nightly operations of both the restaurant and hotel, ensuring smooth and efficient service while maintaining a safe and secure environment. This role includes supervising staff, handling guest requests, managing financial transactions, and addressing any operational issues that arise during overnight hours. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of making quick, effective decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all overnight operations of the restaurant and hotel to ensure excellent guest service.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guests, addressing concerns, special requests, and emergencies.
- Supervise overnight staff, including front desk agents, housekeeping, and kitchen staff, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, safety, and security standards throughout the property.
- Conduct end-of-day financial reconciliation, including closing restaurant sales and auditing hotel transactions.
- Ensure proper communication and handover of any critical issues to the morning management team.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, addressing any staff or guest concerns professionally.
- Handle unexpected situations such as maintenance issues, guest complaints, or emergency incidents with professionalism and urgency.
- Assist with room service, late-night dining operations, and limited food and beverage offerings as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in hotel and/or restaurant management, preferably in an overnight role.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of hospitality operations, including front desk procedures and restaurant service.
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) and property management systems (PMS) preferred.
- Must be able to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality management education is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to stand, walk, and move around the property for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
