Outside Sales Representative – Contractor Sales (1099 Commission-Based)

The Showroom is transforming how contractors sell and present high-end materials to their clients. Our shared showroom concept provides small and independent contractors with a professional space to increase their sales and brand credibility. We offer top-tier flooring, cabinetry, and finish materials, giving contractors a seamless way to showcase and sell to homeowners.
To expand our reach, we are seeking two highly motivated Outside Sales Representatives to recruit and onboard contractors, driving all product sales through The Showroom.
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Recruit & Build Contractor Relationships – Identify and onboard small to mid-sized contractors who can leverage The Showroom to enhance their business.
- Maximize Showroom Sales – Encourage contractor clients to bring their homeowners into The Showroom and process material purchases through us.
- Drive Revenue & Close Deals – Manage a full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, ensuring a high conversion rate.
- Be an Industry Expert – Stay updated on construction materials, contractor needs, and industry trends to provide informed sales guidance.
- Leverage CRM & Digital Tools – Track leads, maintain sales records, and follow up with clients using modern sales technology.
- Maintain a Professional Presence – Regularly visit job sites, attend networking events, and represent The Showroom as a trusted industry resource.
Who We're Looking For
- Outside Sales Experience in B2B sales, preferably in construction, building materials, or home improvement industries.
- Highly Self-Motivated & Driven – Ability to work independently, manage your own pipeline, and proactively generate leads.
- Strong Closing & Negotiation Skills – A track record of securing deals and increasing sales volume.
- Reliable & Professional Transportation – Must have a well-maintained vehicle suitable for in-person client visits.
- Tech-Savvy & Adaptable – Comfortable using CRM software, digital quoting tools, and modern sales technology.
- Fast-Paced & Goal-Oriented – Thrives in a competitive environment with unlimited earning potential.
Compensation & Earning Potential
- 100% Commission-Based (1099 Independent Contractor) – No base salary, but uncapped earning potential.
- Earnings range from $80,000 to $300,000 per year, depending on customer order volume.
