What you’ll do:
Ensure compliance of processes being developed to the Quality Management System framework (Internal and External requirements); Review existing processes for the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System; Execute the Internal Audit Plan to verify the effectiveness of the Quality Management System; Optimize workflow and processes, eliminate non-value-added activities, and improve customer satisfaction through sustainable processes; Lead facilitate and manage the problem-solving process throughout the organization using internal and external data sources; Ensure compliance to standards with appropriate methods for prevention and detection (inspection, testing, evaluation, audits); Facilitate quality reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records; Manage, analyze and report relevant internal and warranty data to measure performance and monitor trends; Take appropriate corrective and preventive actions where gaps exist in KPI performance to goal; Investigate and where appropriate, facilitate the implementation of new technologies to aid in prevention and inspection activities; Prepare and present technical and program information on significant issues and projects to the management team; Engage in problem-solving, quality assurance, inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous quality compliance over materials, facilities, and products; Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards; Establish and meet departmental budget; Manage quality assurance activities for the introduction of new products utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) including influencing decisions regarding design factors that directly affect quality; Resolve policy claims, disputed claims, and chargebacks associated with quality issues related to suppliers and customers; Manage the QA Ship-Hold and NCDR processes; Manage tool calibrations, part layouts, troubleshooting, and inspector training; Responsible for all quality certifications including the resource planning, scheduling and overall management of achieving certification; and Lead the deployment of quality systems that meet or exceed requirements for ISO 9000, TS 16949, ISO 14000.
What you need to be successful:
Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a foreign equivalent.
Qualified applicants must have at least five (5) years of experience as a Quality Manager, or a substantially similar position, performing the following duties: Designing, developing, testing, and evaluating integrated systems for industrial production processes, including preparing inspection plans, reviewing engineering drawings, and deciding inspection methods; Conducting problem-solving, quality assurance, inspection, and testing activities to ensure continuous quality compliance over materials, facilities, and products; Assuring inspection and tests are performed in accordance to customer requirements; Identifying and taking corrective and preventive actions where gaps exist in KPI performance to goal; Facilitating the problem-solving process by conducting team meetings and ensured all corrective actions were effective, documented, and closed out with customers; and Interfacing with all levels of the organization to communicate, problem solve and correct non-conformance.
