What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installation Technician position at The Sign Depot?
We are a growing, full-service sign company specializing in custom signage, light welding, and electrical sign installations. With a fleet that includes 60ft Elliott bucket truck, we handle projects from take-off to final installation. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Sign Installation Technician to join our team!
Job Responsibilities:
Install and service a variety of signs, including illuminated and non-illuminated signage
Operate bucket trucks, cranes, and other equipment safely
Perform light welding, electrical connections, and structural mounting
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and schematics
Work at heights and handle physically demanding tasks
Ensure all installations meet safety and code requirements
Communicate with project managers and clients professionally
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of sign installation experience required
Ability to work safely with electrical components and tools
CDL or ability to obtain one is a plus
Welding experience preferred but not required
Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
