Job Summary:
The Signal Group Technical Sales Representative works proactively to support customers, qualify sales opportunities, and interact with other departments to accomplish this work while offering the highest quality of customer service. This role also has responsibility for meeting department and company standards for productivity, product knowledge, resourcefulness, and being solution driven.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a knowledgeable and proactive approach to customer service that ensures a positive consumer experience with The Signal Group
- Understand and have expertise in our products and be able to obtain information utilizing resources (web, written, people) available to meet standards for productivity and solution driven results
- Ability to work towards understanding problem, and reaching a resolution with customer issues while maintaining the integrity and profitability of the company
- Ability to sell effectively over the phone and in person and knowledge of the sales process
- Willingness to prospect for new customers and build long-term client and partner relationships
- Make outbound calls to prospective customers
- Stay up to date with new products, services, and pricing plans
- Knowledge of the sales cycle and application of strong negotiation and sales closure skills
- Special projects as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
- Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and follow through skills
- Basic math proficiency
- Ability to screen customer calls for sales opportunities and provide quotes to customers in order to generate revenue for the organization
- Ability to utilize resources in order to proactively reach a solution
- Ability to prioritize and work independently, self-starter and finisher
- Maintain a professional demeanor in a high call volume and fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using a personal computer and Signal Group provided software
- Knowledge of NetSuite and EOS is a plus
Education and Experience:
Associate Degree or higher is preferred
Experience in lieu of education will be considered

Physical or Other Requirements:
Ability to sit and work at a personal computer up to 8 hours per day

Job may be performed at home with managerial permission
