Position Purpose
The 2025 Finance Summer Intern will be responsible for several tasks in support of the larger Finance team, especially around donor fund accounting for The Signatry donor advised funds and project support for the CFO and Controller. This position will complete account reconciliations, review fees for advisor-managed accounts (AMAs), and work to ensure that accurate information is reported in our donor advised fund software, Give Interactive.
Primary Responsibilities
- Complete month end closing for the advisor managed accounts activity in Give Interactive, including maintaining an inventory of accounts, preparing and recording journal entries, completing financial data uploads, and completing account reconciliations.
- Review fees charged on advisor managed accounts for accuracy.
- Support the CFO and Controller in the review of financial policies, participate in Investment Committee meetings and other projects assigned by the CFO.
- Partner with the Staff Accountant & Treasury Analyst to ensure that all advisor managed account activity and investment positions are posted in Give Interactive and reconciled to the brokerage account statement monthly.
- Partner with multiple internal teams to identify, report, and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Provide support for obtaining and managing documentation for various alternative investment documents.
- Complete other assignments and projects as assigned.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Alignment with The Signatry values and statement of faith
- Accounting or Finance major with entering junior or senior year preferred
- Strong Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities. Strong working knowledge of MS Office
- Effective communication skills required to convey information and analysis clearly
- Ability to complete research and willingness to propose ideas and recommendations
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Work Location
This position is full-time, non-exempt (hourly) located in our Corporate office in Overland Park, KS. This position can be a hybrid position combining work from home and in office.
Pay Range
$15-$17 / hour depending upon experience
