We are currently searching for an Associate Attorney to join our team. In this role, you will represent clients in legal proceedings in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, managing your own caseload of Elder Law and Estate Planning cases.
A typical day will involve meeting clients in person and then leading a team consisting of a paralegal and support staff on a client's legal needs. This role also includes a hybrid work schedule.
Compensation:$95,000 (Yearly) yearly
Responsibilities:Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in the Chancery Division and Law Division in New Jersey, and the Register of Wills and Orphan's Court in Pennsylvania.
- Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, and Guardianship Pleadings.
- Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations related to Elder Law and Estate Planning.
- Manage administrative and operational functions to ensure smooth practice operations and client satisfaction.
- Advise clients on business and legal transactions.
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes and resolve cases effectively.
Qualifications:

- Licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 4 years of legal experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in Elder Law and/or Estate Planning preferred.
- Familiarity with various legal documents related to estate planning and elder law.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- A go-getter with a strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
- Knowledge of Amicus Attorney Case Management Software is a plus but not required.
- Ability to convey confidence in person, on the phone, and in court.
- Demonstrates empathy for clients, providing reassurance during challenging times.
- Detail-oriented, ensuring quality and precision in all tasks.
