Position Overview : If you love teaching art expression, appreciate social-emotional learning, and are fluent in Spanish, we are looking for you! Our Teaching Artists are motivated to inspire strong, empathetic communities. The successful candidate will have experience working with youth and demonstrate an understanding of how art can be used to build social and emotional skills.

Skills & Duties :
- Demonstrate a passion for the cause
- Lead small group activities that are age-appropriate, fostering an environment where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences that enhance both their social and academic development
- Prepare and adapt materials and lesson plans to meet the needs of students
- Be ready to implement lesson plans and lead weekly classes using TSG's curriculum
- Maintain a daily attendance log
- Be punctual
- Complete assessments and rubrics in a timely manner
- Demonstrate a willingness to promote The Simple Good at events and when asked about the organization
- Attend required meetings and professional development
- Assist with the execution of the Final Student Art Showcase
- Build relationships with parents, children, and school administration / teachers

Salary : up to $25.00 per hour to start
