Description
Will-Mor Manufacturing is looking for a 2nd shift CNC Supervisor ! Have you worked as a Lead CNC Machinist in the past and are looking to advance? We would love to speak with you! Will-Mor Manufacturing is a leading precision CNC Manufacturer specializing in complex, tight-tolerance parts in the Optical Industry.
The ideal candidate will be able to supervise 20 production employees in a CNC Machining facility. Maintain a positive working environment and coach individuals to succeed. Understand and support Will-Mor's policies and lead by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains a positive, team environment relationship with employees by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise milling employees' cycle time, scrap / rework, and tooling issues.
- Instruct employees concerning the proper use of all types of equipment and gauging within the department.
- Check process sheets daily to ensure completeness and accuracy, before each production run and close them out promptly once complete while documenting necessary job improvements / notes for future production runs.
- Work directly with the tool room to ensure jobs have proper & required fixturing.
- Review production routers to prepare and ensure job readiness.
- Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Completes production plan by working with Production Control; scheduling and assigning personnel; establishes priorities and monitors progress; revises schedules and priorities as needed; resolves production, staffing, and resource problems.
- Maintains quality service by enforcing established organization standards.
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluates new equipment and techniques.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, and reports results to management.
- Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implements change when necessary.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; enforces compliance with established safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviews professional publications; establishes personal networks; benchmarks state-of-the-art practices.
- Use the payroll / HR system (currently Paylocity) to schedule employees accordingly, manage attendance, including points, and approve time off.
