MK Services in Middleton, MA wants to add a Shipping Clerk to our growing team!
The Shipping Clerk manages incoming and outgoing shipments of products, materials, and supplies in a CNC manufacturing environment. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all shipments and maintains inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
Receive Incoming Shipments :
- Verify and inspect received items for accuracy and damages.
- Match shipping documents to product orders.
- Label and store received items in designated storage areas.
Prepare Outgoing Shipments :
Pack and label materials according to shipping instructions.Prepare shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, and airway bills).Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers for timely delivery.Inventory Management :
Track inventory levels and maintain accurate records.Organize and catalog items in the stockroom.Conduct regular inventory audits.Equipment Operation :
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other shipping and receiving equipment safely and efficiently.Maintain equipment in good working condition.Documentation and Reporting :
Prepare regular shipping and receiving reports for management.Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems.Customer and Vendor Interaction :
Resolve shipment and delivery issues with customers and suppliers.Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Education :
High school diploma or GED required.Experience :
Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.Skills :
Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent communication skills.Experience with shipping software and basic computer skills.Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.Benefits
