8-hour shifts, 9 AM - 6 PM (with a lunch break)
Job Description :
We are seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Safety Driver to help ensure the safety of all involved and support the advancement of cutting-edge autonomous technologies. As a Safety Driver, you will be responsible for operating autonomous vehicles safely, collecting data on system performance, and assisting with in-field testing.
Responsibilities :
- Operate autonomous vehicles in a safe and lawful manner to collect data on the autonomous driving system and its environment.
- Interact daily with riders and operations leaders to support the safe and effective deployment of vehicles.
- Monitor the technical condition of the vehicle, ensuring safety during in-field operations.
- Complete daily preparation of vehicles for testing and operation.
- Generate daily reports to contribute to the advancement of autonomous driving technologies.

This is a full-time, ongoing contract position. The role requires being onsite and is available to candidates local to the Austin, TX area.
