The Smart Agency in Irvine, Calif. is an award-winning public relations, content, and marketing agency with 35 years of experience serving some of the world’s most respected commercial real estate and finance firms.
We’re currently seeking a smart, talented Senior Account Manager with 3-5 years of professional public relations / media relations experience to join our team.
This Client advisory role is responsible for retaining and fostering strong relationships, including active management of accounts, developing and nurturing strong client and media relationships, and ensuring successful creation and execution of PR strategies.
The position is primarily remote, with a commitment to attend team meetings in-person at our Irvine office each Thursday, as well as Client meetings in-person as needed. Hours are full-time, however each Friday we close at noon.
Key Responsibilities :
Client Relationship Management / Client Service : Ability to strategically counsel Clients, ensure quality deliverables, build trust, manage project requirements and maintain clear communication.
Public Relations / Media Relations / PR Strategy and Implementation : Ability to develop PR strategies, write effective press materials that communicate Client messages, foster strong media relationships, successfully pitch and secure ongoing high-quality coverage.
Content Development : Creative writer that understands (and likes) business writing. Ability to edit others’ writing to make it more strategic for media.
Finance and Real Estate : Understands and is curious about the business sectors of finance, commercial real estate, private equity, and investing. A desire to learn and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in these sectors.
Account Management : Ability to set, communicate, and meet Client KPIs, oversee reporting and any needed strategy adjustments to ensure Client value is always being met or exceeded.
Team Coordination : Work closely with other team members, such as content creators, designers, and other PR specialists, to ensure seamless integration of services and a cohesive approach to Client work.
Requirements :
- An experienced and confident PR strategist / publicist with 3-5 years of professional experience.
- Strong media relationships – proven ability to achieve coverage.
- Curious and interested with a take-charge attitude in managing effective projects.
- Great eye for detail - a precise, organized manager.
Compensation :
70,000 base salary 100% paid employee health insurance matching 401k company bonus program
