What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director Student Life position at The SMILE Fund?
The Assistant Director for Student Life is charged with improving student life by working with various departments within the university to create an environment that fosters and promotes student learning and development. This is an integral position in the department that is responsible for providing oversight for all aspects of the Student Life Program. The Assistant Director interacts daily with 150 Student Organizations, their 2000 members, and alumni. Student Life is home to approximately 150 Recognized Student Organizations and 18 national/international fraternities and sororities. Student Life provides service opportunities, leadership training, and student engagement opportunities to all students, and coordinates or plays a role in several university events including Welcome Weekend, Homecoming, Family Weekend, Greekfest, I Heart UTM Week, and more.
