Reporting to the Business Manager, the Financial Specialist will serve as substitute authority for the Business Manager. This position carries signature authority for fiscal and human resources transactions is responsible for working with the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects personnel in ensuring timely account set-ups and closures in order to maintain accurate accounting processes, serves as a liaison with college and university personnel, prepares fiscal entries, tracking, and documents, maintains records of grants/contracts and budget expenditures, reconciles ledgers, assists with review/approval of visa renewal and requests, faculty transactions and paperwork, and effort certification, coordinates duties and training of personnel where needed, runs reports and provides analysis as needed for the department.
