What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- Open Rank Professor, College of Nursing position at The SMILE Fund?
This faculty position will be responsible for coordination and teaching within the DNP Program: Psychiatric-Mental Health Concentration. There may be teaching responsibilities outside the PMH DNP Concentration. The UT Health Science Center embraces four missions: education, research, clinical care, and institutional service. Responsibilities include education along with service, leadership, scholarship, and practice/clinical care.
Teaching responsibilities include both didactic course work and experiential supervision of students. Research/scholarship activities, clinical practice, as well as service responsibilities will be determined in collaboration with the Department Chair.
Earned doctoral degree from an accredited university required.
Certification/recertification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner required.
Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee required.
Two or more years of substantive clinical practice expertise as an advanced practice nurse in psychiatric-mental health nursing is required. Prior clinical and didactic teaching experience is highly desirable. Previous leadership experience and active engagement in appropriate professional organizations is highly desired.
