Introduction
We are a social media agency with a studio in Jersey City that creates organic content for luxury product-based brands in the beauty and lifestyle industry. Our clients are typically makeup brands, skincare brands, athleisure brands, or lifestyle brands. We are looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our team at The Social Agency starting full-time.
This position is a very creative role with many content shoots and is ideal for a candidate with prior social media management experience who wants to get more hands-on experience with content creation. If you enjoy consuming social media and love being in front and behind the camera, this position is for you!
We are not accepting applications from social media freelancers or agency owners.
You will be:
- Responsible for managing client accounts
- Preparing strategic content calendars
- Create social media strategies
- Planning and executing photo and video shoots
- Writing engaging Instagram captions for our clients
- Designing graphics for Instagram
- Planning Instagram feeds
- Scheduling content on Instagram and TikTok
- Doing engagement on behalf of clients on Instagram and TikTok
- Researching trends
The ideal candidate:
- Is not a freelance social media manager/agency owner
- Has 1-2 years post-grad experience as a social media manager
- Has previous agency experience managing social media accounts
- Is very familiar with recording and editing TikTok videos and feels very comfortable being on camera
- Is a content creator/influencer or has extensive knowledge about content creation
- Has a hands-on experience managing social media for e-commerce brands
- Has a relevant degree in marketing, communications, PR, etc.
- Has strong copywriting skills
- Has experience with Canva
- Has a strong visual aesthetic that aligns with ours
Please note that you must be comfortable modeling women's products (jewelry, skincare, makeup, etc.) in photos and videos for clients. The role is hybrid with 3-4 days required in-person and flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week.
Our office is located in Jersey City by Grove Street, a 10 minutes path ride or 15 min drive from Manhattan. The expected workload is 40 hours per week and a 1 month trial period.
