POSITION SUMMARY

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) conducts assessments, writing, implementing, and monitoring behavior plans, data collection and display, as well as training and supervising staff and parents. The BCBA also supervises BCaBAs, and RBTs in order to provide the best clinical environment for the clients. The BCBA position requires the individual to demonstrate proficiency in clinical work, both written and oral, as well as professionalism. In addition, all BCBAs must maintain active certification with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and remain in good standing.

· Meets the requirements of the BCBA position by managing the full caseload of the center hours approved by insurance

o Completion of assessments

o Supervision

o Programming

§ Creating program materials

§ Updating as needed and on a continual basis

§ Monitor and analyze data

o Initial Assessments as needed

o Supervision and management of BCaBAs & RBTs

§ performance management

§ Monitor staff adherence to company policies

o Parent Training

o Adhere to company set metrics – metrics are set per insurance approval and oversight is provided by Regional Clinical Director

o Adherence to rules, regulations, policies and procedures in provision of services

o Complete daily case notes and other required program-related documentation

o Maintain client confidentiality

· Approve staff time punches on Insperity Time & Attendance

· Maintain utilization of approved hours

· Ensure client’s physical safety and dignity

· Obtain and support the Credentialing Specialist by assisting to maintain individual credentials with the following payers:

o Medicaid

o Tricare

o Cigna

o United Healthcare

o Aetna

o Additional payers as needed

· Provide instruction for clients with varying disabilities

· Support existing caseloads in the event a BCBA departs the company, and a replacement is not immediately available

· Understanding of the basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis

· Understanding of current assessment tools, including but not limited to VB-MAPP and ABLLS-R

· Fluency and understanding of Skinner’s analysis of the elementary verbal operants

· Ability to search relevant journals for current research and interpret research

· Ability to apply new information about the field to current clients

· Attends Continuing Education workshops as required by the BACB

· Introductory meetings, interviews, and tours with potential BTs/RBTs/BCaBAs/BCBAs

· Implement and monitor individualized training plans for new hires

· Monitor RBT performance post-training

· Communication is open with Lead RBTs and Mentor RBTs regarding all therapeutic staff

· Monitor session notes and time sheets for timesheet and session note integrity

· Assist Human Resources staff concerns, and disciplinary action

· Monitor and ensure the proper training of assigned staff members to include training for the RBT credential

· Return phone calls and email within a 24-hour period

· Arrive timely to work

· Dress in business casual as stated in the employee handbook, company issue polo preferred as well as required for certain events

· Maintain professional relationships with parents, caregivers, staff and supervisors

· Adherence to ethical guidelines of the BACB

· Understanding of ABA CPT codes with support from the billing department

· Other duties, as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

· Education: Master’s Degree

· Computer Skills: Strong internet and technology skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel

· Certificates & Licenses: BCBA certification in accordance with requirements from the BACB.

o Professional Crisis Management Association (PCMA) certification with maintenance and upkeep

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time

· Must be able to lift up to 30lbs

· Must be able to teach and assist with toileting skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in the office setting. Work is at times performed in stressful situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate in the office setting.

Must be able to work indoors and outdoors
