Licensed Clinical Psychologist - Diagnostic Evaluation Center at Sonia Shankman Orthogenic School

The Sonia Shankman Orthogenic School (O-School) is seeking a skilled Licensed Clinical Psychologist to join our growing Diagnostic Evaluation Center (DEC) team. Located in the heart of Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood , our center provides psychoeducational , neuropsychological , and developmental evaluations for children and adolescents (ages 5-21). As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, you will help evaluate complex cases, provide diagnostic conclusions, and offer intervention recommendations. This is a flexible part-time position with the opportunity for growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at DEC, your primary responsibilities include :

  • Conducting comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents (ages 5-21).
  • Providing diagnostic conclusions and offering intervention recommendations to families.
  • Attending school meetings and collaborating with school staff to help understand and guide school services.
  • Consulting with other providers, including psychiatrists, to ensure holistic care for clients.
  • Documenting comprehensive evaluation reports that clearly convey findings and next steps for families and schools.

Qualifications

To join our team, you must meet the following requirements :

  • Doctorate in clinical or school psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program .
  • APA-accredited internship is ideal.
  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois.
  • Post-graduate experience in neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents.
  • Strong communication skills , including the ability to empathize with clients and their families.
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive evaluation reports.
  • Experience attending school meetings and collaborating with school staff is preferred.
  • Position Details

  • Part-time, 20 hours per week with flexibility.
