JOB SUMMARY
The Soul of Yoga, San Diego’s home to 90 yoga classes weekly and the best and most comprehensive teacher trainings in Southern California is seeking a Studio Manager with previous experience in customer service, front desk and office management, preferably in the yoga or fitness industry. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Mindbody and be computer proficient. We are looking for someone with strong communication & organizational skills. They will help to create and maintain an atmosphere of compassion and loving kindness so that the team works harmoniously and the clients feel safe & supported during their visits.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Willing to work a minimum of 3 regular shifts at the desk, extended studio hours, and cover other shifts and events as needed.
Experience in managing front desk operations and office management tasks.
Availability to be present and address unplanned onsite issues with short notice.
Familiar with audiovisual equipment and able to troubleshoot problems with equipment.
Willing to travel to other locations as needed and to assist with events.
Provides outstanding sales and customer service — greeting customers, answering questions, recommending classes, troubleshooting, in person, or via phone or email.
Accurately checks in classes, rings up retail purchases, workshops, packages and gift certificates.
Actively works to sell memberships and to convert both new and regular students into members.
Maintains a clean and organized studio through regular tasks and chores, which includes keeping the retail area straightened and stocked at all times, studio clean and props organized.
Runs and troubleshoots sound, video, and online live streaming technology.
Assists and completes projects as directed by Assistant Director in a timely manner.
Demonstrates development of skills and capabilities in preparation for additional management responsibilities, and willingness to take on additional studio management responsibilities as needed.
Assists the Assistant Director in managing the front desk, yoga teachers and schedule of classes efficiently.
Experience coaching and guiding employees to ensure continuous development of the team. Always working towards the goal of the best service at any studio in San Diego.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work well both in a team setting and independently.
Proficient with computers, Google Workplace, Zoom, Canva and Mindbody software.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
