Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for ultrasound exams, selecting appropriate transducers and machine settings based on the physician’s request.
- Conduct obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations following department protocols, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnoses.
- Gather and record relevant clinical information from referring physicians and patient interviews, relaying details to the radiologist as needed.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and accessories, promptly reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process, demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
- Prepare reports, films, and other necessary documentation for radiologist review and interpretation.
- Stay current with continuing education requirements and attend department meetings as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and all clinic policies to ensure patient confidentiality and compliance.
Qualifications
- Required: Must be RDMS or ARRT/US Specialized.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and colleagues
- Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and electronic medical records systems
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care with a friendly and professional demeanor
