Provide Supervision to Day Reporting Center Counselors
SETHRA Personnel Policies, Employee Evaluations, Case Staffing, Travel, Staff Development
- Complete goal planning sessions and performance evaluations with DRC Counselors every quarter.
- Assign cases to DRC Counselors within 30 days of receiving a new client.
- Review Case Plan progress with DRC Counselors at least monthly.
- Provide consultation to DRC Counselors as needed.
- Research and identify staff development opportunities and ensure licensed staff meets yearly requirements to maintain licensure.
- Oversee implementation of proper counseling protocols and compliance with ethical standards.
Coordinate, Monitor, and Supervise Services
Addiction Severity Index, Risk Needs Assessment, TCUD II,
eTOMIS
- Conduct assessments for offenders within 7 days of referral receipt.
- Coordinate instructor and counselor scheduling.
- Update Offender Management System within three business days of offender contact.
- Monitor all clinical services
Counsel Offenders
Calendar, Set schedule of Availability, Pre/post Assessment Forms, Project Tracking Log
- Provide a minimum of 16 individual counseling sessions for offenders relating to alcohol, drugs, and/or mental health monthly
- Provide individual counseling to at least 30 offenders per fiscal year.
- Provide pre and post assessments to offenders receiving counseling services to evaluate changes and achievement of goals.
- Guide clients in the development of skill or strategies for dealing with their problems.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
- Counsel clients individually to empower them in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.
- Refer clients to community resources or to specialists as necessary.
Facilitate Groups
Matrix Model, Break the Chains of Trauma, Victim Impact, Moral Reconation Therapy, Relapse Prevention, Anger Management, Parenting, Thinking for Good, and Domestic Violence
- Oversight of all groups within the Day Reporting Center
- Maintain group ratios of 12:1
- Assist with schedule development for each Day Reporting Center within the District.
Evaluate Offender Progress
Contract Objectives
- Evaluate offender progress every quarter.
- Assist with developing quarterly case plan with supervision staff.
- Recommend measurable standards to correct identified problems and deficiencies bi-weekly.
Pursue professional development and training opportunities
Tennessee Community Corrections Association Pre-Service/In-Service training
- Attend staff development training as requested by Supervisor.
- Attend department meetings and provide updates on activities.
- Attend agency bi-weekly staff meetings.
- Research and request a minimum of 1 training opportunity yearly from supervisor.
- Attend Tennessee Department of Corrections annual training.
Report
Computer, internet access, Monthly Statistical Report, Inventory Control Report
- Prepare and submit reports to Community Correction Director by the 6 of the month.
- Track and report changes in service usage monthly.
- Track and report any inventory changes monthly.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling/Social Work
- LPC/LMSW
- Two years of supervisory experience required
- EMDR Certification and/or TF-CBT preferred
- Experience working with offenders and/or vulnerable populations
- Vehicle, insurance, and valid driver’s license
- Must meet insurance driving record standards
- Physically capable of doing general office work
- Ability to become certified in First Aid and CPR procedures
- Must maintain clean Motor Vehicle Record

Work Environment
This position has after-hour on-call responsibilities. The position operates in a professional office environment.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position at 37.5 hours per week. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
