We currently have an exceptional career opportunity for an enthusiastic Wellness & Recreation Coordinator to join our team to implement and manage all recreation and wellness programs, including special events, for all SCADD programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Promotes client socialization, growth, learning & development by planning, implementing & engaging clients for activities in the following categories: physical/ exercise, entertainment, social, religious, recreational/creative, education.
- Coordinate activities and events with volunteers and paid contractors.
- Schedule the use of facilities and activity areas.
- Set up and keep records of equipment use.
- Ensure that recreation facilities and equipment are used, maintained and sanitized properly.
- Facilitate individual and group wellness activities including coaching, milieu management, and case management.
- Provide feedback to the clinical team in regard to client’s level of motivation, participation in wellness activities and milieu interactions.
- Upholds program rules, guidelines and policies and assists clients in following all rules, guidelines and policies.
- Help assesses, collaborate and coordinate client’s discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other members of the care team.
- Maintain safety of the milieu at all times. This includes awareness of client location and high-risk situations.
- Maintain wellness program schedule and special events schedule in coordination with other program schedules.
- Performs light janitorial duties.
Qualifications

Associates Degree preferred or knowledge and experience in Substance abuse and community support services. CPR Certification preferred. Valid Driver's license required.
