JOB SUMMARY :
The Designer creates visual content intended to engage, attract, and communicate the story of Southern Seminary across multiple platforms.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions :
- Develop and design illustrations, layouts and designs for digital and print media, including brochures, catalogs, direct mail, corporate identity, packaging, presentations, promotional displays and signage.
- Maintain a consistent visual brand style across all platforms and ensure designs align with the brand's identity and goals.
- Collaborate closely with the Communication and client teams to define and understand project requirements and create cohesive designs.
- Review and enhance existing graphics, providing innovative design solutions.
- Generate drafts and mockups of proposed designs for the client to review. Implement feedback and changes as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Review graphics, layouts, fonts, colors and sizing before passing work to the production coordinator. Provides press-ready files of all assigned projects.
- Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

The person in this position will ideally have graphic design education, but specific formal education is not required.
