What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bell Person position at The Spa at Norwich Inn?
SUMMARY
Assists with luggage upon check in or check out. Escorts guests from the lobby to their room and familiarizes them with the hotel’s services and guest room information. Provides guest services as requested by the front desk and also offers valet parking to guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Remains at post when not providing guest services
· Answers bell stand phone
· Valet parks cars
· Provides transportation between inn and villas
· Assists Arriving Guests
· Assists Departing Guests
· Assists Doorman
· Follows Guest Service standard
· Distributes daily newspapers
· Logs maintenance of needs of vehicles and gives log to Engineering
· Performs daily maintenance of vehicles
· Performs other duties as assigned by Department Supervisor and Manager
· Follows appearance standard
· Follows call in procedure
· Follows attendance procedure
· Follows all company and global standards
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must have good oral and written communication skills.
· Must be friendly and able to deal with people.
· Must be able to prioritize and be multi task oriented.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Guest service experience a plus, but not necessary.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have the ability to read, write and speak English fluently
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand for a minimum of 6 hours a day. Must be able to push, pull tug, and carry 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environment is very fast paced. Environment is such that requires assistance in other areas as needed.
