SUMMARY:
SUMMARY:
The Spa Locker Room Attendant at The Norwich Spa is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and organization Within the locker room and assisting guests with their needs to ensure a pleasant experience. Must be comfortable speaking with guest and orienting guests to all of the amenities in the locker room including demonstrating opening and locking the lockers. Must be able to answer questions about the property or treatments or provide a person to come assist the guests with those questions. Must report any accidents injuries or unsafe work conditions immediately to spa management. Must be comfortable with cleaning and folding laundry and keeping showers and vanity products fully stocked. Must ensure the toilet areas and sink areas have full paper products. Must ensure wet areas of the sauna, steam and whirlpool linen is full and freshly stocked and the floors are dry. Must ensure the showers liquids are full and linen is stocked in the individual showers. Must replenish the tea and fruit throughout the shift. Must ensure all things are completed and stocked at the end of each shift.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be patient, friendly, compassionate and professional so as to be able to deal with people of all temperaments, especially under pressure.
Must be able to prioritize and be able to multi-task job duties as well as stay attentive to guests and their needs.
Must be able to read. write. and interpret documents such as policy and procedures manuals, fire and safety procedures, memos, standards and procedures, itineraries and schedules.
Must possess the ability to interpret such documents as staff schedules, meeting minutes, safety rules policy and procedure manuals, standards and procedures, disciplinary notices, and performance reviews.
Must possess the ability to follow all closing, opening and throughout the day chore list procedures for both departments.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma
Guest Service experience necessary.
Computer facility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 1-year prior experience in hospitality, spa. or related guest service industry preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to speak. read, and write in flawless English.
Second language skills a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must be able to add subtract, divide, multiply and have some proficiency in the use of adding machines or calculators.
Must be able to understand and calculate using the metric, Fahrenheit and Celsius systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to read a computer monitor and type on an electronic keyboard while standing.
Must be able to repetitively push, pull, tug, lift and carry 501bs. at a time.
Must be able to walk long distances between buildings
Must be able to walk and / or stand at post for 6 to 8 hours per day,
Must be able to do repetitive motion work such as folding, lifting, sweeping, mopping etc. without restriction
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The environment is fast paced with a high volume of guest, employee, and management interactions.
Must be able to work in an environment where guests may be scantily clad or disrobing for services.
Must be able to work in wet and dry heats, steam and humidity, in air that is treated with such aromatherapies as eucalyptus oil.
Must be able to work as necessary in the laundry and use the elevators.
AVAILABILITY:
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands and without restrictions.
Flexibility is essential. Shifts are 4 to 8 hours in length and could rotate
