Job Purpose
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager creates and maintains efficient inventory systems, budgets, organizes purchasing, shipping and receiving activities related to inventory stock, including special orders for all stores.
Scope of the Position
This position will manage, organize and coordinate inventory budget and activities and work with accounting, as well as all departments and members of the general public and other partners for California and Nevada businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, provide a full range of purchasing and inventory control management with 100% accuracy:
1. Creates and improves inventory systems to ensure efficient fulfillment thateliminates stockouts, shortens lead times, and ensures balanced inventory levels to meet customer and operational needs.
2. Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and ensure optimal stock levels across all locations.
3. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and adjustments in the inventory management system.
4. Optimize, design and execute processes to reduce lead times and improve inventory turnover.
5. Identify and resolve inefficiencies in inventory workflows, including purchasing, receiving, and storage.
6. Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and delivery teams to align inventory with operational needs.
7. Work closely with the accounting team to establish and manage inventory budgets and manage costs.
8. Monitor inventory-related expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
9. Ensure inventory purchasing aligns with financial goals and cash flow constraints.
10. Build strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and improve lead times.
11. Monitor vendor performance and address quality, delivery, or service issues.
12. Use data analysis tools to track key inventory metrics, such as turnover rate, days of inventory on hand, and shrinkage.
13. Generate reports and provide actionable insights to leadership on inventory performance and areas for improvement.
14. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding inventory handling and storage.
15. Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
16. Partner with sales, marketing, and operations teams to forecast demand and align inventory with business goals.
17. Lead and train staff on inventory procedures and ensure adherence to best practices.
18. Other related duties.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field and minimum of two (2) years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a willingness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Demonstrated experience in inventory management, purchasing and/or supply control.
2. Demonstrated ability to monitor inventory outcomes and problem solve with a focus on accurate data driven information.
3. Demonstrated experience in shipping, receiving and purchasing.
4. Must be able to lead a team, collaborate with departments, partner with stakeholders and work independently.
5. Must have excellent customer service.
6. Demonstrated organizational, time management and presentation skills.
7. Ability to use Microsoft Office, Excel and other inventory management software systems.
8. A valid Nevada driver’s license with a clean DMV record.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
