Job Description
Full time position available for an experienced veterinary technician for our fast paced surgical center. Hours needed: 7:30-3:30, M-F for full time. No Weekends. Salary commensurate with experience.
Skills and requirements:
Team player who treats everyone with compassion and respect and believes in our mission of quality, affordable spay and neuter for pets.
5 years experience in animal care and handling
5 years experience in surgery and anesthesia in a private practice or spay/neuter clinic required
Experience in monitoring vitals during induction, maintenance, and recovery of dogs and cats under anesthesia is required.
Surgical preparation of patient
Surgical instrument care
Be able to take brief patient histories from clients about their pets' health and preventative care
Proficiency in animal restraint
Ability to clearly communicate discharge instructions to clients at end of day
Be able to stand on your feet for prolonged periods
Be able to lift 40 lbs unassisted
Perform heavy cleaning required for hospital upkeep at end of day
Strong work ethic, must be punctual and dependable
Ability to answer a 2 line phone
Proficiency in windows operating systems, social media platforms
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 ~ $25.00 per hour
