Position: Supporting Auditor Pharma Financial Capital Compliance (Construction)

Position Summary:
The Spear Group has a career opportunity for a supporting auditor professional to work in the life sciences / biopharma industry supporting our client with ensuring financial capital compliance for end to end (E2E) business processes. The ideal candidate will assist the finance process & controls team with the development and execution of the risk-based annual audit plan. This opportunity is a professional role that will focus on global compliance biopharma construction audit activities with reporting to a global senior compliance management. The ideal candidate will support the compliance team with continuous improvements to the audit and risk management processes utilizing state of the art technology and data management tools to maximize value-add to the pharma construction project teams.
Hybrid Schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Acts as a key support function / Supporting Auditor to the Global Senior Manager(s) and Senior Auditor(s), embracing the companys goals of standardizing and digitalizing ways of working.
- Performs and supports the end to end (E2E) construction compliance audits for project assignment(s) from the fiscal year audit plan, through invoice reviews, external document verifications, data analytics and reporting as it relates to one or more of the life sciences company construction projects.
- Utilizes standards and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual documents.
- Maintains comprehensive audit work paper documentation that fully supports reported audit results.
- Reviews all audit work with the senior auditor assigned to the project or global senior manager, prior to reporting audit findings out to internal business partners or external suppliers.
- Advises internal business partners, project staff and suppliers of non-compliance of contract terms, negotiates resolution of disputed items, and communicates resolution through senior auditor and/or global senior manager.
- Follows through to closure, on all findings that are out of compliance.
- Responds to internal and external customers as needed in a service-oriented manner.
- Will further learn specific skills, information, and processes pertaining to the E2E audit process, CAPA documentation, and the follow through requirements of all audit findings and best practices within the compliance team.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Bachelors Degree, preferably in Quantity Survey / Accounting - Audit or Project/Cost Controls / Construction Management / Finance
- 2 to 5 years experience
- Experience within the Pharmaceutical Research & Development Industry is a plus.
- Understanding of information technology and ability to use various applications and systems.
- Knowledge of construction, project management, contract management, and best practices is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with compliance senior management, external suppliers, and internal business partners.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Good presentation skills with the desire to improve.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work within a team as well as independently.
- Attention to detail, tenacity, and the ability to multi-task are essential to the position.
- Ambitious -willing to embrace and support process change.
- Must be comfortable in an environment of changing technologies and processes and demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to new ways of working.
- SAP experience is desirable, and various cost reporting applications.
- High degree of integrity, professionalism, and personal ethics in implementing corporate policies and procedures.
- Effective team player with a collaborative focus.
- Ability to take ownership of a task with minimal direction and bring to a successful conclusion.
- Organized and able to prioritized correctly to meet business objectives.
