Position Summary :
We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering design and a passion for creating innovative solutions to Engineering problems. The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for the design, development, and documentation of mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and GD&T. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities :
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Create and execute Engineering Change orders with accurate and up to date documentation per ISO procedures.
- Create and maintain material Item Masters in ERP System.
- Perform tolerance analysis, stack-ups, and GD&T application.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input.
- Maintain accurate and organized design documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, design standards and process developments.
- Stay current with the latest SolidWorks features and best practices.
Qualifications :
The estimated annual salary for this role is between $60,000 and $80,000. Actual compensation is determined based upon a variety of job related factors that may include : transferable work experience, skill sets, and qualifications. These factors could mean the actual annual salary falls slightly above our below the estimated range. Total compensation also includes a comprehensive benefit package, including : medical, dental, vision, 401(k), profit sharing, paid time off, life insurance, short and long term disability coverages, and others for mental and wellness support.
