What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Production Associate position at The Spice Hut?
Spice Hut is a local, woman-owned company with strong roots in the Pacific Northwest. We specialize in the finest loose-leaf teas and gourmet spices from around the world. For the past 17 years we have worked to develop a brand synonymous with freshness & quality.

Spice Hut’s portfolio expanses several unique food-based brands with distribution in retail, wholesale, food production, brick & mortar outlets, and a strong online and e-commerce presence.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
· Accurately and efficiently fulfill orders
· Meet production goals
· Pull and package orders in a timely manner
· Ensure all proper packing material are used: pouches, product, pallets, and labels.
· Operate motorized material handling equipment as required
· Follow standard procedures and instructions to accomplish assigned tasks
· Perform physical verification of inventory
· Handle loading and unloading operations
· Keep warehouse clean and always organized
· Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
· Package required product, at correct quantities and weights, per schedule and specs.
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time
· Ability to work overtime when required
· Maintain a clean working environment
· Support post-production clean up
· Wash dishes
· Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment.
· Maintain accurate production logs
· Help restock inventories for next production
· Help record all packaging and supplies used
· Be flexible to changing production needs.
· Physically capable to lift up to 55 pounds on a regular basis and up to 75 pounds or more on occasion.
Experience with the following is a must:
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word
· Ability to rapidly learn new systems and procedures
· An ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize workload
· Highly organized, self-motivated, able to work independently
· Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task, and prioritize projects to meet established deadlines
· Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
· Excellent attention to detail and observational & problem-solving skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Must have or be able to acquire a WA State Food Worker Card
· Possess basic mathematical skills
· Must have a valid Driver's License
· Must have reliable transportation
