Order Fulfillment Warehouse Associate

The Spice Hut in Bellingham, WA is looking for one order fulfillment warehouse associate to join our 10 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged.

Spice Hut is a local, woman-owned company with strong roots in the Pacific Northwest. We specialize in the finest loose-leaf teas and gourmet spices from around the world. For the past 17 years we have worked to develop a brand synonymous with freshness & quality.

 We are a fast growing, fun company to work for, with interesting people, a laid-back culture with ambitious goals, and tons of delicious tea & spice perks! You’ll be working in our production plant / warehouse.

We are looking for a candidate who is available 10 AM-2 PM Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

·      Follow pick sheets to accurately pull products for orders 

·      Fill and label product efficiently

·      Prepare and assemble packages for shipments

·      This position involves using shipping software and regularly communicating with Warehouse Manager 

·      Keep workstations clean and organized

·      Work independently while collaborating with other team members as needed

·      Follow standard procedures and instructions to accomplish assigned tasks

·      Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time

·      Ability to work overtime when required

·      Support post-production clean up

·      Wash dishes

·      Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment.

·      Be flexible to changing production needs.

·Qualifications

·       Ability to stand /walk for long periods of time 

·       Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of finished packages / lift bins of goods weighing up to 50 lbs

·       Proficient at reading and speaking English

·      Strong attention to detail

·       Basic computer skills – typing, printing, etc

·       Must be willing and able to learn computer programs used by the company

·       Must be able to meet daily pick-up deadlines

·       Experience in order fulfillment and shipping operations – required

·       Must have reliable transportation
