What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at The Spine and Orthopedic Center?
Well established and busy private orthopedic, spine and pain management practice in Santa Barbara has a full-time opening (Monday to Friday) for a front office receptionist.
Job Purpose:
Greeting patients; scheduling and confirming appointments; answering phones
Job Duties may include, but are not limited to:
· Welcome patients and visitors by greeting, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
· Scheduling appointments; calling patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
· Answering multi-line phone system and fielding calls accordingly
· Distributing and assisting patients with paperwork
· Utilizing the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to enter patient data and appointments
· Maintaining the reception area
· Collecting co-payments at the time of service
· Assisting with the flow of patients through the office
Applicant must have exceptional organizational skills, excellent computer skills and be ready to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining great attention to detail. The applicant must also be reliable and punctual, professional, have good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Competitive pay plus health benefits.
