Job Duties
- Assessing and monitoring patient conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educating patients and their families about their condition, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
- Documenting patient care and progress in electronic medical records.
- Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate interventions as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and safe patient care environment.
- Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact/multistate license.
- Current ACLS & BLS/CPR certifications are required.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and some holidays.
- Two years of experience is preferred.
- Adaptable and strong critical thinker.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communicator.
