As a Nurse Practitioner at The Spine and Pain Center, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to our patients. Working under the supervision of our physicians, you will diagnose and treat acute and chronic pain, conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Evaluate patients' medical histories, symptoms, and test results to formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Conduct patient consultations, perform examinations, diagnose chronic or acute conditions, and treat minor injuries. Refer patients to physicians as needed.
- Determine appropriate medication dosages, administration methods, and frequencies based on patient characteristics such as age and gender.
- Arrange follow-up appointments to monitor patient progress and assess treatment effectiveness.
- Perform thorough physical examinations and closely observe patient conditions.
- Develop personalized patient care plans, adjust treatment strategies as needed, and contribute to existing care plans.
- Order, administer, and interpret diagnostic tests, recommending suitable actions based on safety, cost, and effectiveness.
- Identify and respond to adverse drug reactions, especially among vulnerable populations.
- Maintain meticulous records of patients' healthcare plans and stay updated with medical advancements.
- Collaborate with staff to recognize patient needs and assist in care plan development.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, self-care, prevention, and medication counseling.
- Undertake additional projects to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Proficiency in conducting physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and prescribing medications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and computer proficiency.
- Commitment to maintaining clinical competency through ongoing education and professional development.
