What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transitional Living Assistant - 12pm - 8pm position at The Spring Shelter, Inc.?
The Spring is growing! We have an open position for a Transitional Living Assistant for the 12pm-8pm shift.
The Spring is a faith-based nonprofit serving those who have experienced domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking and are searching for safety, advocacy, and restoration.
The Transitional Living Assistant will answer phones, welcome guests, and monitor visitor traffic, along with day-to-day duties specific to transitional living and services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for handling front desk duties including answering phones and directing calls to the appropriate staff member; welcoming clients, community partners, and guests to The Ridge
- Promote a positive environment for residents, employee,s and guests
- Assist in ensuring basic needs of the residents are being met
- Ensure community space are stocked for resident and guests/groups usage
- Coordinate and provide transportation for guests to approved places which may include job interviews, medical appointments, school, etc.
- Monitor and coordinate entry and exit of visitor traffic
- Assist with set up and participate in specials resident activities/events
- Complete documentation of interactions by end of each shift
- Clean and prepare rooms for new residents
- Ensure all cabins meet the cleanliness and safety standards through weekly cabin checks
- Replenish office and other supplies such as paper goods, trash bags, etc.
- Ensure confidentiality of all residents utilizing services
- Create an inclusive environment and act in a way that ensures residents and guests feel welcome
- Prepare and setup for meetings/events that are occurring in community spaces.
- Attend training as needed to meet domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking standards
- Available to work agreed-upon hours each week - occasional weekends may be required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of office or receptionist experience preferred
- Must be able to sign The Spring's Statement of Faith
- Must have valid Oklahoma driver's license

- Willing and able to work both independently and as a team member
- Computer experience required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Outstanding customer service, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Maintain boundaries, both professional and personal

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the functions of this job, the position is both sedentary and requires the ability to be active including standing, walking outside in the elements, in and out of vehicle bending, lifting, and/or arranging supplies. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
