Position Title: Youth Innovation Coordinator
The Springfield Project, the founder of 1908 Innovation & Coworking Center, is seeking a Youth Innovation Coordinator to lead and support youth-focused programs and initiatives. The Youth Innovation Coordinator will oversee programs emphasizing college and career readiness, violence prevention, and entrepreneurship, while also recruiting and facilitating other youth-driven initiatives at 1908 Innovation & Coworking Center. This role is vital in fostering leadership and skill-building opportunities, connecting young people with resources and mentors, and driving community development efforts. The Youth Innovation Coordinator will cultivate an inclusive and empowering environment for youth to thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing
Youth Innovation Coordination
- Develop and manage programs that actively involve youth in innovation, entrepreneurship, and community building, leveraging the unique resources and collaborative environment of the 1908 Innovation & Coworking Center.
- Coordinate youth workshops, mentorship programs, and leadership initiatives designed to enhance college and career readiness while fostering creativity and innovation.
- Identify youth needs and develop initiatives that address their goals and aspirations, ensuring alignment with TSP’s mission.
- Partner with community stakeholders, including schools and youth organizations, to design and implement activities that meet the needs of local youth.
- Facilitate youth engagement in 1908 events, creating an inclusive space where young people feel empowered to contribute and thrive.
- Plan and execute events that promote innovation, creativity, and youth engagement.
- Support the marketing, on boarding, and management of youth-centered programs and events, including the development of communication materials such as social media content and newsletters targeting youth audiences.
Community Engagement
- Build relationships with local schools, youth organizations, and other stakeholders to drive program growth and awareness.
- Represent TSP and 1908 at community events and networking opportunities to promote youth-focused initiatives.
- Respond to inquiries from youth, families, and community members regarding available programs and services.
- Conduct tours of 1908 for youth groups, families, and community partners.

- Familiarity with underserved and minority communities is a plus.

- Proposed start date: Flexible
Pay: From $45,000 - 55,000.00 per year.
